If you choose to be a better person, stick to it from now on. Let nothing distract you from this goal. You cannot make progress if you waiver.”

Rebuilding Your Life is like doing a Frame Up Restoration
Rebuilding your life the right way is going to be a true frame-up restoration. To become the kind of man you’ve always wanted to be you must first disassemble and examine your life and do an inventory. This process entails sorting the nuts, bolts, wires, and “parts” of your life, then rebuilding with only what is still useful. You may not have all the parts to put your life back how you’d like it, and that’s okay. None of us do when beginning such a process. The parts you don’t have and cannot find? Build and fabricate them (I will show you how.) Men’s self-development doesn’t reside in a book or YouTube video. The magic happens in the action – in the process of rebuilding. The process is slow and lonely at times, but will be the very best restoration you will ever do.
The Tools of Addiction Recovery
I have done plenty of frame up resoratitions on trucks and motorcycles, none of which were easy. The hardest and slowest restoration I’ve ever done was the one on my own life, and that restoration continues to this day. In men’s self development, the biggest question is always where to start. We can take a page or two from addiction recovery to get an idea of where to begin: developing an understanding of what is really necessary to live well, growing those things, and discarding the rest. In the next several days we will begin the process by determining the absolutes. These are the attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs we must make part of our daily routine to ensure our restoration stays on track. Be sure to check back here tomorrow for what’s next.
For today, just move the needle.
See you in the shop.
